How do I care for my candle?
Candle Care: For the most optimal burning experience, trim the candle wick to about 5mm above the wax prior to each use. When first lighting a new candle, allow the entire surface of the wax to liquify and form a melt pool that reaches the inner edge of the vessel. To ensure the most desirable candle performance, never burn beyond 4 hours at a time. Be sure to straighten and center the wick post-burn while the wax is still molten. Fire Hazards: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn within site at all times. Keep away from drafts and burn on a suitable, heat resistant surface. Keep away from pets, children and any flammable materials. Keep your candle free from debris like wick trimmings, soot and dust at all times. Do not burn your candle all the way down. Always leave at least 5mm of non-molten wax at the bottom.
Are your fragrances 100% naturally derived?
All of our ingredients are sourced from raw plant materials - such as essential oils, fractions, naturally derived isolates, extracts, exudates, distillates, resins and volatile concentrates - obtained from plants and flowers using certified organic extraction methods. Each ingredient is 100% natural or naturally derived as defined by ISO 9235 regulations of aromatic natural and raw materials, ensuring that our fragrances are free of petrochemicals, solvents, and dyes. By implementing naturals instead of synthetics, we are supportive of a regenerative farming movement which aims to replenish the soils on our planet. The farms we partner with consistently yield their ingredients from these organic and regenerative sources and in turn they are rejuvenating the land with powerful and curative nutrients. Over time, this process could prove to be the determining factor in shifting our ecology, reversing soil degradation and saving our soils from extinction - one of the most imminent environmental issues we face today.
What is the difference between synthetic, clean and the naturally derived fragrances you offer?
The nomenclature of “clean” self-care brands is often deceptive or misleading, giving customers an impression that they’re receiving byproducts which embody purity, ethics and integrity, when they may often be receiving something quite different. We aim to disrupt this pattern by being overtly forthcoming and breaking the myths and molds regarding the acceptance of “Synthetic Biology” in the fragrance industry. Synthetic: These ingredients are man-made compounds which can not be found organically occurring in nature and are the most often implemented ingredients in fragrances. Synthetics are created in labs and factories and while they may offer a slightly wider palette to create with, they are known to disrupt the endocrine system and contain cancer causing materials called carcinogens - they are intentionally chemically modified. Clean: These fragrances are a combination of synthetic ingredients as well as naturals and are often perceived to be a lot safer than they are marketed to be. Due to many companies implementing small fractions of naturals - if any at all - while claiming to avoid certain toxic synthetics, this class of fragrances often slips under the radar and is accepted as safe. Natural: These fragrances are often perceived to have greater value - and rightfully so - as they are much safer, more therapeutic and more sustainably cultivated. The process to harness and distill them is also much more arduous and time consuming but well worth the while. Each ingredient in this process is derived from a botanical source or natural origin. We have taken this a step further and ensured that each ingredient is ideally either organically, bio-dynamically or regeneratively cultivated before being harnessed for its potential aroma-therapeutic properties. In turn, our scents have an unrivaled, innately complex scent profile to them. Our fragrances still fill the room with a refined, nature-like quality and you may notice that they don’t give you headaches like some other fragrances - you may not feel overwhelmed or sickened by the scent, giving you a peace of mind, knowing the air you’re breathing is safe.

Why do you use cannabis wax?
Cannabis is one of the most regeneratively and sustainably cultivated resources on the planet. It is proving to be a dynamo in the agriculture industry and is sought after for its ability to rejuvenate the human body and our land. Hemp’s net environmental benefit is impressive when compared to countless other materials and it can be supplemented for many of them in a plethora of industries. Our proprietary coconut, soy and hemp wax blend is the first of its kind and offers therapeutic properties while remaining super-conscious of our planet. We have chosen hemp as an ingredient not only for its healing potency and medicinal benefits, but also for its regenerative nature, its ability to yield high quantities quickly and economically, and it’s positive social and agricultural impact.
What is CBD and its benefits?
CBD or Cannabidiol is one of the many compounds found organically occurring in the flowers of the hemp plant. It is one of more than one hundred medicinally active phytocannabinoids, all of which are very unique to the genetics solely within cannabis. This plant boasts vigorous therapeutic traits while offering countless benefits. Generally speaking, CBD has been shown to considerably reduce anxiety, spasms and pain, while boosting mood and immunity and having anti-inflammatory, and even anti-cancerous properties. On a larger scale, hemp can help re-establish an harmonic balance between humans and the environment while also rebuilding our economy and re-establishing an ecology long forgotten. Not only does hemp offer a multitude of healing benefits but it can also play a massive role in helping our culture understand how to better embrace the future of sustainable permaculture, polyculture and organic/ regenerative/ bio-dynamic agricultural practices. The spectrum of CBD’s benefits truly does range from the human body to the whole planet.
Can CBD alter your consciousness?
CBD is one of the two best known compounds found in the cannabis plant. The CBD found within our proprietary wax blend is NOT one of the psychoactive compounds found within cannabis such as THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which is responsible for producing the intoxicating effects that many associate with the plant.
Where are your ingredients sourced?
Many of our ingredients have been regeneratively or organically cultivated and are innocuously plucked from nature, from our Prop 65 certified/ GOTS certified organic and Ayurvedic herbal dyes - cultivated in one of our chemist’s personal gardens - down to the living algae inks used on our shipping mailers. Our certified GOTS organic cotton wicks are some of the only in the industry, and our custom artisanal hand-blown crystal vessels are meant to be recycled, repurposed or reused. The fragrances we’ve developed with master perfumers are some of the first verified 100% naturally derived and we boast a “No-Nasty” list which we have found to be the most extensive in our field. The cannabis portion of our wax is created using only regeneratively farmed organic hemp plants, sourced from farms that are always either USDA, ROC, COFF, DEM Pure, Sun+Earth or Demeter certified. Any other vegetable based waxes in our blend are always as responsibly sourced as possible.
What is the difference between regenerative and sustainable agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture is a holistic approach to agriculture that focuses on the interconnection of farming systems and the ecological system as a whole - going beyond sustainability to actually replenish ecosystems, nurture biodiversity, and sequester carbon. These methods in fact reverse the threatening trajectory in which current conventional farming methods are leading us. Sustainability on the other hand is more so concerned with carrying on the economical and agricultural practices currently being implemented. While it is important to sustain a certain ecological standard and it does promote environmental stewardship, there is more that can be and needs to be done in order to restore balance and promise future generations an environment which is stable and flourishing. By practicing regenerative agriculture, we can improve the health of the natural environment, the quality of our soil and the quality of life for the greater community.
Are your products cruelty-free and vegan?
Our products never contain any animal-derived ingredients and they are always vegan. We never do any testing on animals.
Are your packaging materials sustainable?
Our packaging partners print on only FSC certified, 100% recyclable materials and also implement only vegetable and elemental inks while proudly operating out of their zero carbon footprint facility. Our mailers are sourced from a separate facility which operates under analogous conditions while implementing only Living Algae Inks® - an innovative, fully regenerative printing medium. Our labels are completely biodegradable, acid Free and are made from ECF pulp, ECF (elemental chlorine free) FSC® mix. They have heavy metal absence and are long life and Ph neutral. Our shipping tape is eco-friendly, compostable, 100% recycled from single use bags, bottles and other common items and it is also printed with soy based inks.
Are your fragrances gender-specific?
We do not believe that fragrances should be assigned to any specific gender. This is why we have aimed to develop fully androgynous scents which can help express your individuality and compliment any home.
What are “top, middle and base notes” within fragrance?
All fine fragrances are traditionally crafted based on an olfactory pyramid consisting of three main tiers. The top, middle and base notes are what constitutes this structure. Top: These scent notes are the most evaporative and easily diffused. They are generally the lightest but are also recognized immediately and give the first impression of a fragrance. Top notes are often citrus, florals, light fruits and herbs. Middle: These notes constitute the olfactory heart of each fragrance. They are heavier and tend to linger in the air longer, making up the core of the fragrance. Middle notes are well rounded, smooth and are often a combination of floral and fruit tones, sometimes infused with spices. Base: These notes often present themselves once the top and middle have dispersed. They commingle with the middle notes and provide the main impression of a scent. They carry the heavier molecules within a fragrance and remain once the majority of the scent has faded. Base notes are often composed of woods and resins. We have aimed to create complex fragrances which offer a unique entanglement of top, middle and base notes, unveiling a spectrum of layers throughout each burn cycle.
